The true value of life is not found in riches or fame, it is found in the simple finer things in life like, love, peace & happiness. When I was younger, I thought I had to do or be involved with something really big to make a difference and spread peace, love & happiness. Now I believe that I have the ability to create all that every day with every person I come in contact with. I believe the little things matter just as much as the big ones. Rather than feeling like a victim of policies and politicians, I choose to remain an active positive force in helping to heal the world. You and I can heal the world.

Everyone is worth listening to

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Wednesday, February 3, 2010,
Junior, a close friend of mine brings a positive energy and life into any room she enters. She focuses her entire attention on you and listens while you talk to her so much that you feel that she cares about you and appreciates you as a person and when she responds to you she shows that she is not judging you at all. She does this not only to her close friends and relatives but everyone she meets and as a result of this most people love Junior. Just by interacting with me in friendship Junior...

The cellphone gap

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, In : Love, Peace & Happiness issues

No one appreciates the invention of the cellphone more than some of us who started dating at a time when cellphones had not yet been invented and had to make do with so many communication breakdowns. Now knowing that your loved ones are only a cellphone call away or an sms text message away where ever you will be really feels like heaven on earth. Communication has been made so easy and simple and many relationships have been ...

When speech is silent

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Friday, December 11, 2009, In : Philosophical issues

Ever experienced a comfortable silence when speech would spoil the beautiful moment, a moment that requires you to
wallow in it in silence so that the experience really seeps into your mind, your heart and your soul and gets etched
there as a cherished moment? There are times when speech has to be silent for all the five senses to be pronounced.
A silent touch that says I am here for you for I care deeply about you. A silent look a...

The lessons that life taught me.

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, In : Inspiration and motivation

Oh, sweet, so sweet !!!! and life taught me to be that sweet.

A--Accept
Accept  people as they are, with their warts, eccentricities, their choices, their characters, their culture and their way of doing things even if you have difficulty understanding their beliefs, motives, or actions.

B--Break Away
Break away from stereotypes, from the box and its limitations, from the comfort zone and everything that stands in the way of what you hope to accomplish with your life.

C--Create

I mourn the slow death of book-reading

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, In : Inspiration and motivation

Book-reading is down and out and internet surfing is up and in, thanks to the invention of the electronic chip, the computer and the internet. Sadly books as the prime tool of mental training shuffles to the exit like a slapped clown. As a result the passionate convulotions of poetry and art are being pushed back out of the arena to make way for the sciences that resulted in this new technology age. The ancient education ...

Some politicians have no conscience

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Friday, November 13, 2009, In : Politics

Moralists have sought to persuade us that conscience is one of the most powerful agents in human behaviour. Now that reason and pity have agreed to regard hell-fire as a hateful myth, many good people have seen in conscience the chief safeguard that shall induce the human race to walk in the way of righteousness. Shakespeare has told us that conscience makes cowards of us all. Novelists and playwrights have described to us the pangs that assail the wicked, they have vividly pictured the angui...

Random thoughts

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, In : Philosophical issues
I have moved away from the rails
Most people, the vast majority in fact, lead the lives that circumstances have thrust upon them, and though some repine, looking upon themselves as round pegs in square holes, and think that if things had been different they might have made a better showing, the greater part accept their lot, if not with serenity, at all events with resignation. They are like tram-cars travelling forever on the self-same rails and they despise the sprightly flivver that dashes ...

He loved me and never told me

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, In : Love, Peace & Happiness issues
A group of my friends were at a Zimbabweans and South Africans only dinner party in UK watching photos of yesteryears which were on a slideshow loaded on the host's desktop computer and reminscing about the good old Zimdays whilst watching the photos.  When my photo filled the screen a male friend of mine who used to belong to the same book club as myself when we were teenagers asked Babra my friend who was hosting the party to freeze the slideshow so that he looks at my photo for some more m...

Be romantic in love

Posted by Eusebia Madziwa on Friday, November 6, 2009, In : Love, Peace & Happiness issues

Love is not found in a fast food wrapper
Quickly consumed, the left-overs tossed away.
There is much delight to be discovered and love nurtured
In a leisurely slowly paced gourmet meal.

Genuine romantic love must be allowed to breathe,
To be savored in delicate short sips not long gulps.
Inhale the rich fragrance, wallow in the aura
And then let if flow through your lips & discover the chemistry.

Ignore the temptation to rush the chef or to quickly consume the food
Hunger is surely sated when slowly ...
